Drawing & Painting 2

Take your drawing and painting skills to the next level! In this class, students will explore a variety of techniques using colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor, and acrylics on canvas. Along with traditional still life and landscapes, students will also have the exciting opportunity to draw and paint live animal subjects—a favorite part of the class!

Each session will feature a new project, allowing students to complete a full piece of artwork to take home. With a focus on shading, perspective, and composition, this class helps young artists refine their skills while developing their own creative style.

Advanced Drawing & Painting

For young artists looking to take their skills further, this class offers a deeper dive into technique, composition, and artistic expression. Students will work with a variety of media, including colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolor, and acrylics, while refining their understanding of shading, perspective, and color theory.

With more challenging projects and guided instruction, students will have the opportunity to develop their own artistic style and confidence. Each session will result in a completed artwork, allowing them to build a portfolio of their best work.

Nature & Art (NART)

This class blends art and nature, giving kids the chance to explore the outdoors and turn their observations into creative works of art. Students will spend time discovering the natural world—looking closely at plants, animals, and landscapes—before using a variety of artistic techniques to bring their findings to life. Each session results in a unique, nature-inspired piece to take home.

  • Cost: $40/class or $110 for a full 3-class session

Cartooning 2

For older students who love cartoons and want to refine their drawing skills, this class dives deeper into character design, expressions, and storytelling through art. Each week follows a different theme, allowing students to explore a range of styles while developing their own unique approach.

Weekly Themes:

  • Week 1: Movie Characters

  • Week 2: TV Show Characters

  • Week 3: Book & Video Game Characters

Students will learn techniques for proportions, line work, and adding personality to their drawings. Whether they’re recreating favorite characters or designing their own, this class offers a fun and creative space to experiment and grow as an artist!

  • Cost: $30/class or $175 for a full 6-class session

For students ready to expand their sculpting skills, this class explores more advanced techniques in clay and mixed media sculpture. Using hand-building methods like slab, coil, and sculpting from solid forms, students will create both functional and artistic pieces.

Projects may include intricate figures, textured surfaces, and creative mixed-media sculptures. With a focus on detail and technique, students will develop their ability to bring their ideas to life in three dimensions.

  • Cost: $180 for a full 6-class session (full session enrollment required unless approved by the instructor)

Clay & Sculpture 2

Digital Art (Ages 9+)

Step into the world of digital creativity! This class introduces young artists to digital drawing and design using professional art tools and software. Students will learn how to create characters, landscapes, and imaginative artwork while exploring concepts like layering, shading, and color theory in a digital space.

At this time, we are unable to provide students with technology for this class. We recommend using an iPad with a stylus, but a laptop with a drawing tablet can also work. If access to technology is a barrier to participation, please contact us—we’re happy to discuss options!

  • Days: Tuesday & Thursday (2:30-4:00 PM)

  • Cost: $25/class or $150 for a full 6-class session

Print Making (Ages 9+)

Discover the art of printmaking and create bold, layered designs! In this hands-on class, students will explore different printmaking techniques such as block printing, monoprinting, and stamping. They'll carve, ink, and press their own designs onto paper and fabric, experimenting with texture, color, and pattern.

Each session introduces a new method, allowing students to build skills and take home unique prints. Perfect for artists who love bold visuals and creative experimentation!

  • Cost: $35/class or $200 for a full 6-class session

Discover the art of sewing in a whole new way! This hands-on fiber arts class blends creativity and craftsmanship as students transform fabric and thread into unique, nature-inspired sculptures. Each session will explore different sewing techniques, from hand-stitching to soft sculpting, to bring imaginative designs to life.

Past projects have included mushrooms, strawberries, and avocados—this year’s creations will be just as fun and full of personality! Whether you’re a beginner or already love to sew, this class is a great way to develop new skills, experiment with texture and form, and create something truly special.

Fiber Arts (Ages 9+)

Jewelry (Ages 9+)

Design and create your own one-of-a-kind jewelry! In this class, students will work with Fimo clay, a soft and easy-to-use polymer clay that hardens when heated. Using bright, vibrant colors, students will sculpt beads shaped like food, animals, and more to craft unique necklaces and bracelets.

This class is a great way to explore creativity while learning hands-on techniques for jewelry making. No experience needed—just bring your imagination!
